Gemstone – Supported Accommodation (16–25)

Welcome to Gemstone

Gemstone provides supported accommodation for young people aged 16–25 who are developing their independence and preparing for adult life.

Gemstone is part of Woodford Children’s Services and is informed by the same Psychosocial Practice Model used across our residential homes. This means that while young people live more independently, they remain supported through consistent relationships, reflective support and a strong sense of community.

Young people at Gemstone are supported to develop the practical and emotional skills needed for adulthood. This includes managing education or employment, developing financial independence, maintaining healthy relationships and building confidence in everyday life.

Support is personalised and flexible, recognising that each young person’s journey towards independence is unique. Practitioners work alongside young people to help them set goals, overcome challenges and build a positive future.

Gemstone offers a supportive stepping-stone between residential care and independent living, helping young people move forward with confidence, stability and hope.
