Emerald is a solo children’s home that provides a safe and supportive environment where children can develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.

The home is guided by the Woodford Psychosocial Practice Model, which recognises that growth happens through relationships, shared experiences and supportive communities. At Emerald, children are encouraged to understand themselves, explore their strengths and develop the skills they need for adulthood.

Daily life in the home includes education, activities, key work sessions and community discussions that help young people reflect on their experiences and build positive relationships. Practitioners provide consistent support while encouraging young people to develop responsibility and independence.

Emerald aims to create a positive living environment where children feel respected, valued and supported as they move towards the next stage of their lives.
