What We Offer
At Woodford, we provide ‘Outstanding’ therapeutic children’s homes accommodating small groups of three or four children, creating safe and nurturing environments. Alongside this, we offer supported accommodation for young people aged sixteen and over. To strengthen practice within the sector, we have also established the Woodford Academy a centre dedicated to offering accredited qualifications and professional development for those working therapeutically with children in care. We are also proud to be recognised as a Gold Member of the Therapeutic Communities at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, affirming our commitment to the highest standards of therapeutic practice and community living.

At woodford
Our Woodford Model of Practice is not only child-focused, but child-and-adult led, recognising that healing from trauma happens in relationship, not isolation. This means the voices of children and staff carry equal weight in creating a safe, consistent, and nurturing community.
We take a trauma-specific approach to trauma-informed care. We understand that every behaviour has meaning, and every child’s experience is their own story, one that deserves to be respected, protected, and understood. Our role is not to rewrite that story, but to stand alongside children as they navigate it, offering stability, trust, and hope for the future.
At Woodford, we are clear: this is the child’s life, their journey, and their story. Our job is to ensure they do not walk it alone.
